A personal and family care resource with an emphasis on the aging population.

The Christian Youth Center includes services that address personal and family issues, with an emphasis on the aging population. Lend- a- Hand services are provided free of charge* to anyone in need.

Lend a Hand Ministry is a valuable resource for information, support, and assistance in coping with the many necessary decisions that have to be made as a family moves through life.

*While there is no charge for Lend a Hand services, donations are accepted. This ministry is underwritten by supporters of the Christian Youth Center.

SERVICES:

· Crisis intervention 

· Community resources, i.e. assistance in the home, utilizing hospice 

· Transition from home to  assisted living

· Consulting on options for alternate living accommodations

· End of life issues, i.e. living will, power of attorney for health care, comfort measures

· The grieving process

· Assessing dementia

· Pet therapy with Sheltie ‘Buddy’

· Available to speak at seniors’ groups and church caring      ministries

Sherry Lindstrom, RN. BSN. MPC. LPC.

Sherry has been on staff at the Christian Youth Center for over 35 years. Blending nursing and counseling has enabled her to work through many health care issues with individuals and families. She enjoys serving people, and will do her best to treat your loved one with the dignity and respect they deserve.

 

She will gladly meet with you at your home, the nursing home, or the hospital.
