Portions! Now that’s a funny word! What does it mean? What would you want if you could have a big portion of anything you wanted to eat? How about chocolate cake? What about ice cream? Maybe you’d want some fresh strawberries. How about a big juicy steak and potato? Is anyone hungry right now? The fact that we want more of something is God’s idea. God made us that way. That works for good or bad depending on what we want. God has given us a free will. King David said this about God… “You are my portion in the land of the living.” Psalm 142:5 The next time that you want more of something, let it remind you of God. God wants us to want Him more! Give God permission. Invite Him into every area of your life. He is waiting for you to say….MORE PLEASE! Dear God, we want to know you more. We need more of you. Please come and do more in each and every family here. We want you to be our portion in the land of the living. In Jesus name, AMEN! God bless! Lee |
