Eye / Hand Coordination...How many of you when
you were six months to a year old could catch or throw a baseball? (Let
them answer) Most likely, none of you could. If we were to throw a ball
to you at that age, it might hit you between the eyes.That
is a learned skill. It is called eye / hand coordination. It is used in
all kinds of activities. Over time, all of us learn some eye / hand
coordination skills. (Like what…i.e. eating, brushing our teeth, etc.)
Some of them we can get really good at. King David, one of the
bravest and most powerful kings said in Psalm 141…I
have kept my eyes on you Lord. God wants us to learn the skill of
keeping our eyes on Him. Life at times is good, bad or something in the
middle. There are times when life could hit us right between the eyes. In baseball/softball when we
are up to bat…what does our coach tell us to do? (Keep your eye on the
ball). When we do…we perform better.In
life, God wants us to learn the skill of keeping our eyes on Him. When
we do this, it will help us in every area of our life. God wants us to
know him through His son, Jesus and through His word. Let’s all learn
the skill of keeping our eyes on HIM. Dear Lord, Help us this season to
keep our eyes on you. Please bless each ball player and their family in
ways that they need. We thank you for the opportunity to have fun and
learn. In Jesus name AMEN...God
