Daddy! Last year here at the CYC, I heard one of the most beautiful words there is…DADDY! I was watching as a young boy turned and saw his dad. What was so special about this is that man and his wife went all the way to the other side of the earth to adopt that young boy.

Do you look like your brother or sisters? Do people know what family you are from? Even when you are little, many people begin to see a family resemblance in you. That means you look like your family. This works even if you have been blessed with adoption, because you become like those you spend your time with.

Romans 8:16 says…His Spirit speaks to us deep in our hearts and tells us that we are His children. God desires that we would belong to God’s family. He wants relationship with us! He wants us close. There is no joy in distance.

When we become part of God’s family and come near to Him…there starts to be a family resemblance…we start to become more like him…we start to look like our Heavenly Father…you know…kind, loving, forgiving.
